7 months old!

Believe it or not Adelyn is already 7 months old. She continues to bring us joy everyday. The most exciting news is that she has been saying or cooing mmmaaah ma!! She is crawling! She moves around the house pretty quickly and even goes around corners into the kitchen. We have begun to baby proof our house and will soon be putting up the baby gates.


Adelyn is enjoying the various foods we have introduced to her and I have enjoyed making baby food. She really loves sweet potatoes, squash, and pears. I have read that breastfed babies love fruits but I think Adelyn is showing a preference to vegetables; there hasn't been any yet that she hasn't liked. She is okay with eating bananas, but her first taste of both apples and peaches she didn't like at all. Jimmy is allergic to uncooked apples, so hopefully Adelyn isn't. I will keep on trying, I guess it can take up to 10 tries for babies to like a food.

She got the last of her shots for another 6 months with the exception of needing her flu and H1N1 boosters. At her 6 month appointment she was in the 55th percentile for weight and height. Adelyn's hair is beginning to grow back. She is definitely a hair twirler, she even does it in her sleep. Not only does she like twirling her own hair but also daddy and mommies hair. Adelyn and Daddy love to talk back and forth to each other.
