Quack!

The new favorite song in our house is Five Little Ducks. The repeated singing of this song prompted me to bring the girls down to the Bancroft Pond to get up close to some ducks. Addy loves toting around our binoculars, which means both girls love using them. Amelia was lucky enough to get a turn yesterday, no tears involved!

Who knew domestic ducks live at the urban pond! It was a good
 thing I brought the stroller along because withinn seconds these guys
were standing right in front of Addy looking for someone to pet them.
They proceeded to get quite noisy once a gentleman went to sit on the
bench in their sunning area on the trail. The girls loved watching
and listening to them.

Amazing Duck Fact: Ducks are precocial, which means that ducklings are covered with down and able to walk and leave the nest just a few hours after hatching.
