Missoula Marathon 2012

"Running is the greatest metaphor for life because you get out of it what you put into it."

6th Annual Best in the Wild West Missoula Marathon
Jimmy Grant finishes in 2 hours 33 minutes, takes second place!

Runner's World rated Missoula Marathon as the # 1 Best Overall Marthon in America back in 2009. Since then this marathon has grown tremediously and in return has created quite the running community. Each year as I spectate and cheer on Jimmy and many other runners I always think how great it would be to be a part of the race. I love the idea of running a marathon, but as of now I do not  have the motivation and time to dedicate to running a marathon. Instead I had the pleasure of being part of this wonderful race this year by running the marathon relay. Running the last leg was perfect. With Jimmy being incredibly fast I was able to watch him finish and then meet up with my teammate for the swap. Watching the top finishers before running was great, but running (sprinting) across the Higgins Street Bridge with my teammates as the crowds cheered was the highlight.
 You rock Jimmy!
Cheering squad---one child not wanting to smile.
