Welcome Sammy: A Visit to Minnesota!

"Sometimes", said Pooh, "the smallest things take up the most room in your heart."

Naps with newborns on the couch are so nice!

"Girls, we have made it to Minnesota!", exclaimed Mommy.
"I was hoping you would say that soon!", replied Addy from the backseat.
"We sure do live far, far away from Papa and Grandma. When I see Auntie Heather I am going to ask her if I can hold Sam."

Meeting sweet Sammy was definetly the highlight of our trip to Minnesota. He makes an awesome addition to our family and a wonderful little brother for Sophie.

 Playing with Sophie
(Addy called her Soph, and Amelia called her  Fee...super cute)
The girls jumped up and down screaming in excitement quite a bit on their first day at Linwood. Addy loved sharing a room with her "favorite cousin" (almost as much as Grandma)! It was pretty darling once they finally fell asleep next to each other. These three girls make excellent play mates, it's too bad they live so far away from each other.
Making cookies with Grandma (when riding in the double
stroller next to each other they were telling each other
everything that they were going to do at Papa and Grandma's
house and cooking baking was up there on the list).
Bubbles with Auntie D
Buckle...yummy!

It was hot and humid in Minnesota therefore
lots of popsicles were eaten between these 3 girls!
Yummy Gelato:
Chocolate for Addy
and Pink for Sophie!
Poor Amelia was asleep in the
car and missed out!

Riding on the boat was a hit, so much so there was a little bit of fighting over who was going to drive! As you can see Amelia was a little sad when it wasn't her turn as was Addy.

When at Linwood there is always something from the past
tucked away in a closet. This day the find was these adorable sailor suits that Johnny and Jimmy wore in a photograph when they were the same age as Addy and Amelia. We tried to recreate the photograph. We even put tape on their fingers as the boys photographer did, this was the best we could do....pretty darn cute if I might say.

Enjoying blueberry buckle on our evening boat cruise, it was a hit with all except for Amelia.

Fresh corn on the cob,
bitten by two bees led to a sob,
 pontoon boat rides,
swimming in the lake and going down the slide,
playing with daddy's childhood toys,
spending time with cousins and grandparents was such a joy,
good company made for a memorable week at Linwood Lake.
