Baby's Nursery

Nesting or creating the baby's nursery has been so much fun, well after we got past the hardest part. Picking a gender neutral color was a bit challenging even with an experienced painter for a husband. The first color that we chose, Balmy Seas, is shown below. It was just too bright for me and reminded me of a room that would be found in Key West! All I wanted was a paint color that was warm, soothing, and gender neutral.
Jimmy didn't hate it as much as I did and was a real sport about repainting the room. This time I had to consult my mom, an excellent source. One thing you might not know about her is that she chooses paint colors for the man who builds the condo development where they live. Her colors have been a good selling feature. So I showed her the bedding and she was able to come up with three great paint colors that would match and had a calming feeling. So far the space seems like the perfect room for a baby to get some sleep! After painting the room I put Jimmy to the task of organizing the baby's closet so that the space would be more usable. Jimmy's handyman-ness has really begun to show the last two years, I think he did a great job! To complete the closet, Grandpa Grant is also making a little toy chest for baby Grant!
The baby has the best room in the house. Not only does it have the most organized closet but it also has an excellent view of Snowbowl!
