Meeting Grammie and Grampie Finer

We were expecting Adelyn to be almost 2 weeks old by the time my parents came out to visit us in Montana. With her arriving ten days late they actually arrived in Missoula just in time to bring us home from the hospital. After having a c-section it was especially helpful to have them stay with us to help me recover and take care of the baby. The first time grandparents immediately fell in love with our precious Adelyn.
When deciding on a name for a daughter we wanted something original, not too common, but not too eccentric. So we came up with Adelyn's name by combining a few family names. My mother's name is Adele, as well as Jimmy's great-great grandmother and Jimmy's grandmother's name was Delima (Del) .For her middle name Jimmy's great-grandmother's name was Genevieve and so was my great-grandmothers name. Grammie absolutely loves her name!

Both Grammie and Grampie spent countless hours holding their granddaughter. Grampie spent the early hours of each day rocking and soothing Adelyn back to sleep. Of course the week went by too fast but they really enjoyed this special time to bond with Adelyn and are looking forward to the next visit this summer.
