Today was an exciting day, Addy got to watch her first marathon!

This morning I awoke Addy nice and early so that we could cheer on her father who ran in the 3rd annual Missoula Marathon. We headed out of the house a little after 7 am, not nearly as bright and early as Jimmy left (4:30am for a 6 am start). Addy is a morning baby so it wasn't hard getting her ready to go. Along with Gabby and Ashley we were Jimmy's support crew passing off water bottles filled with half water and half Gatorade to help fuel his long run. Since he was a leader in the race there were not many spectators out early on, just this big ol Cow!

Cheering on Jimmy with Addy wasn't too much different, all I had to do was grab her in her car seat and go. Those of you who have watched Jimmy before know that there would not be enough time to take her out of the car seat or even put her in her stroller. Luckily we got VIP parking at every stop!

After witnessing first hand all of the training that Jimmy has put forth this year it was a thrill to watch him cross the finish line. There were quiet a few days this spring where I am sure that it was tough for him to maintain his training routine. Whether it was being in the hospital recovering with us for days on end or battling exhaustion from sleepless nights with a newborn baby in the house, somehow he always found the motivation to get out there and run.

And now the moment you have been waiting for- the race results. Drum roll please...... He placed second at 2hrs 35 min 9 sec, beating his personal record by 4 minutes! Way to go Addy's Daddy! We are so proud of you and your accomplishment.
