Connecticut Vacation

The weather was a bit overcast and humid but that didn't stop us from taking a drive to Rhode Island anyways. Bringing Adelyn to the ocean was on the top of our to do list so we decided to go to Naragansett.

We had a nice afternoon picnicking by the ocean, watching the surfers, and walking along the beach.

Another afternoon we headed down to the Connecticut shore to Mystic.

After walking around downtown Mystic we headed to Noank. A trip to the East coast wouldn't be complete without a lobster dinner and Abotts in the Rough is the place to go. Sitting by the shore, looking at the boats, finding stripers in the water, and enjoying good company was a great way to spend the evening.

Grampie enjoyed watching cartoons and Red Sox games with his little granddaughter; just like he did with me when I was younger! Many pictures have been taken of Kara and I in this rocking chair, so of course we had to take some pictures of Adelyn in it.
